Radio TEN is a new internet radio station built from a longing for the sound of the 80s and 90s. Instead of endlessly replaying the same catalogue, it offers new instrumental music shaped by a familiar melodic and rhythmic language.
We missed the atmosphere, melodies and emotional directness of the music we grew up with. Radio TEN grew from an experiment: can today’s technology help create new music that carries some of that spirit without simply recreating old records?
The instrumental format is also a matter of respect for the artists whose songs shaped those decades. Radio TEN is not trying to reproduce their voices or replace their performances. It creates new pieces inspired by the musical language of that era.
